Social Resilience Hub
The Town of Cohasset is centering social resilience in their climate resilience priorities. Cohasset’s Social Resilience Hub project is led by a Social Resilience Coalition, a collaboration between social service providers, who are taking steps to plan a community resilience hub that places social services at the center.
The priority of the Coalition will be to lead a community-based planning process to identify potential sites for a Community Social Resilience Hub to serve as the physical space to co-locate social service providers in Cohasset.
Cohasset's climate resilience planning centers equity and cross-sector collaborations. By focusing on root causes of social vulnerability, the Town has uncovered actionable climate solutions that will enable the community to prepare for climate impacts in a way that centers people who will be most impacted by climate change.
The Town of Cohasset and the Social Resilience Coalition are currently in the process of selecting a priority location for a resilience hub. Cohasset will continue to build climate resilience in a way that centers the voices and needs of priority populations who already experience a disproportionate burden from local climate impacts.
